Psychological Counselling
Counselling provided to clients of all ages. Child, Adolescent and Adults, presenting with a range of difficulties and disorders. Counselling sessions, if referred by a GP will consist of 10 psychological sessions covered per year. If there is no GP referral, the number of sessions will depend on the severity of the condition and the difficulties the client is experiencing. This will be discussed with the client at the outset.
Assessments
Often assessments may be required to obtain a better understanding of symptoms, behaviours and difficulties that the client is experiencing. Results may then be helpful in guiding intervention. Behavioural, mental health and personality assessments can be conducted. Formal reports may also be available if required.
School Visits and School Strategies
When working with younger clients, gaining insight into their school environment may be necessary. After understanding the client's needs , it may be helpful to arrange a case meeting at the school in order to collaborate with teachers and learning support staff.
